This is a direct replacement for the SA511B alarm!

This First Alert SM500V (1046774) is a Battery operated Photoelectric smoke detector with Wireless Interconnect. This alarm will wirelessly interconnect with other alarms in the same series (SCO500B, SA520B, CO511B, SA511B as well as SMCO500V). If you need to link together a hardwired system with these Wireless Interconnect alarms, you will need to get the SA521CN(SA520B) to use as a bridge unit.

First Alert Wireless Interconnect allows alarm interconnection without hardwiring. When one alarm activates, all alarms will be activated. You can easily link alarms together with the press of a button (see video below). The Photoelectric smoke sensor reduces nuisance alarms from cooking smoke or shower steam. Easy access battery drawer: no need to remove alarm from ceiling to change battery. 10-year limited warranty. Meets UL standards.
