After doing a lot of research on CO Alarms I found SmokeAlert Home Fire Safety. This company has taken all of the guess work out of purchasing this product. Shipping was immediate and delivery was on time, simple as that. Instructions made install a breeze. As Far as how they work, I hope I never have to find out, but I sleep better knowing I have a great product watching over me.

Item came in great shape. still have not installed yet. Presume they will work great when everything gets squared away, need to paint the ceiling prior to installing.

I have to give the CO5120Bn unit a terrible rating; but its was installed in new house when I purchased. This is the 3rd one I have had to replace in last 2 months. Never had this problem before.
Thanks for your great and speedy service.

Found your website very easy to use. Plugged in the model number from the back of my defunct carbon monoxide alarm. Price was right and free shipping and quick delivery.
My handyman had no problem installing.
Thank you

It’s hard to find CO detectors locally in stores. You can order them and have them delivered to Home Depot or Lowes, but it usually takes 7-10 days. SmokeAlert delivered in 2 days and the price was comparable to Home Depot and Lowes.

We had a BRK CO5120BN installed when we converted our oil furnace to a gas furnace 7 years ago. The original unit failed recently (in line with its target life) and we needed a replacement. Ordered a new one and was able to install the new unit into the pre-installed, hard-wired base. Works fine. Improvements: BRK could label the battery compartment better so that you can tell where the positive lead on the battery goes when you replace the battery overhead.

We hired an electrical contractor to replace the old wall-mounted carbon monoxide alarm with this new and improved First Alert model, which we had installed on the wall. The new alarm complements a ceiling-mounted smoke & fire (photoelectric & ionization) alarm. Both alarms are top-of-the-line models highly recommended in Internet reviews.
