    Just put this motion sensing light in your socket in your garage and as soon as you open your door lights on. It’s nice to walk into my garage and not have to search for the light and stumble over stuff that someone else left on the floor.

    We needed better lighting in our garage and I’d heard about motion sensor “adapters”. I had purchased a different brand at a local hardware store and it worked “okay”. Then I found this one at SmokeAlert and ordered it. This one is by far the best! Of the two lights in the garage it turns on first and I like that it turns off in 4 minutes, as opposed to the 10 on the other one….saving energy costs. I plan to order 3 more in the near future!!!

    I owned one of these sensors in the past for use in a basement room that had a pull chain switch in the center of the room. It was the perfect solution and when when I needed a similar solution for my garage the hunt was on to find them again. The retailers locally did not carry the First Alert brand so I searched online. Thankfully I was lucky and found the smoke alert website! A++++ 5 Star out of 5 experience!!

    We put this fixture in our basement laundry room and another in the utility room where the sump pump is located. We absolutely love it. Light turns on soon as you walk into the room, and the delay on the fixture makes it so you never forget to turn the lights off after you leave a room.

    I was replacing a motion sensing light socket in my garage ceiling with a similar one I had for 15 years.
    It is very convenient to get light when I enter my garage especially at night ,with or without my car , and the light shuts off 4 minutes later ,when no motion is detected.
    Although the delivery of the item took several days ,I give it a 5 * for good performance and best price.

    I have bought a couple of other brand units that only worked if you stood 6 feet from it. This one has excellent range all 360 degrees, and has good sensitivity to motion. I’m am a very satisfied buyer.

    Excellent product, works great. Had one of those pull closet lights go bad. The pull chain became difficult to pull making it hard to turn the light on/off. Instead of replacing the whole light I tried the motion sensor. Easy to install, took 20 sec. Now when the door opens the light come on and 4 min later goes off. Works with LED bulbs too.

    Got this to use in the pantry because the pull chain works unpredictably. Does not work when you walk in, have to wave your hand up near the light. See similar complaints because this does not sense downward for use in a confined space.

    Our previous light went out after many years of use and we had trouble finding a replacement. We use it in our garage so when our dog comes in her doggie door, the light will go on so she can see where her indoor crate is as well as her food. It works great for this purpose!

    This is the most responsive sensor I have found. Using indoors on an 8 ft ceiling. Picks up motion from any angle. Even detects a cat walking into the area.
