Gas Fireplace Service in Pittsboro, NC

Owned and Operated by Firefighters

Our entire staff consists of firefighters with years of experience in fire safety and emergency response. We understand fire risks at a level most companies can’t match and bring that knowledge to every appointment. Every gas fireplace service includes a free home fire safety check to identify potential hazards. We’re fully licensed and insured with C-DET and CSIA certifications. With over 1,500 five-star reviews, Smoke Alert has earned a reputation for quality work.

Unlike other chimney technicians, we use a power sweep system and industrial HEPA vacuum to quickly clean your chimney without leaving behind a mess.

What Our Gas Fireplace Service Includes

Professional gas fireplace maintenance protects your home while ensuring efficient operation. Our comprehensive service addresses every component critical to safe performance.

Inspection, Maintenance and Repair

During an inspection, we check gas lines and other components to reduce fire risk throughout your system. Using professional leak detection equipment, our technicians also verify that all connections meet code requirements. Finally, we inspect the damper valve to confirm it’s locked in the proper position and that the safety clamp is secured.

While performing maintenance checks, we test the pilot assembly and ignition system and inspect and adjust burner components. We examine venting to confirm proper draft and effective exhaust of combustion gases. Our team will also clean critical parts to maintain flame quality and efficiency.

When we identify worn or damaged components, we provide repair options with up-front pricing. Common repairs include thermocouple replacement and valve servicing to restore reliable operation.

Fireplace Cleaning

Cleaning out the firebox to promote safety is central to our service. We carefully remove gas logs and clean each piece individually, and we vacuum the firebox interior to extract debris from the damper area and back walls.

Your fireplace’s glass doors and panels also get special attention. We remove cloudy film that builds up over time, restoring clarity. We also inspect rock wool or embers and replace them if they’re burnt or degraded. Fresh material is arranged around the burner pan for even distribution.

After cleaning, we reassemble your logs properly and test the system. This process improves both safety and appearance.

Gas Fireplace Installation

Our fireplace installation services help homeowners add new gas fireplaces or convert woodburning units to clean-burning gas systems. We work with you to select equipment fitting your space, heating needs and aesthetic preferences. Installation includes secure positioning, proper mounting and clearance from combustible materials. We test safety features and provide operation instructions.

Our professional fireplace installation services ensure every connection meets safety standards and local codes. Our technicians handle all venting aspects for vented, vent-free and direct-vent systems. We also coordinate with licensed plumbers when gas line work is required.

Other Home Fire Safety Services

Beyond our gas fireplace services, we offer additional solutions to protect homes. Our chimney sweeping service removes dangerous creosote buildup, while dryer vent cleaning eliminates lint accumulation that can cause house fires. Bundle your gas fireplace service with chimney sweeping or dryer vent cleaning and save 20%.
